ANYTHING BUT TOXIC

We take it back to basics, treat other people how you would like to be treated – that’s teammates, clients and anyone else in the communities we interact with. We call out toxic behaviour every time we see it and we’re not afraid to have conversations with each other when something feels off. You come here to feel respected and valued for simply being you, if we need to have hard conversations, we speak to each other in a way that is kind, above all else.

OPEN AND REAL CONVERSATIONS

There’s so much more to life than what goes on within the ER bubble and we truly get that. We have the authentic and hard conversations, even if we don’t really know how to. Wellbeing and Mental Health aren’t just words on a poster, we check in on each other, properly. We prioritise our health above all else and nobody will ever be disadvantaged at ER because of that. We always put our own team first, we’re not afraid to respectfully leave any relationship or engagement that is having a negative impact on our team.

NET POSITIVE IMPACT

We’re here to make a positive impact on our local communities, on each other and on the world. We do this transparently and in a tangible way. We don’t get caught up in things that don’t actually matter. Five percent of our revenue will always go to our sustainability fund, allowing us to support projects with clients and within our communities to make a difference. And 2.5% of our revenue will always be shared with our ER team, driving life experiences that we may not otherwise have together – opening our eyes to new people, places and ways of thinking. We provide opportunities for people in places that don’t usually hit the map and we actively bring on team members that are driven by this desire to have a positive impact.

GET AFTER IT

We aggressively pursue the things that matter to us. It’s about grabbing the opportunities–in life, in business, on a project, within a team. We don’t do anything by halves, we get shit done and we do it better than most. We strongly encourage each other to get after it outside of work, to pursue our passions and to explore what we never thought possible. We give each other opportunities to take risks, to succeed (and to fail) and when we win, we celebrate.

TREAT JOBS

Nobody is too important for a ‘treat job’– the little tasks that need to be done. We don’t hire people to do our treat jobs, we all get in and get it done – whether it’s assembling a desk, buying bulk boxes of calippos or following through on some painful admin task, if you’re lucky enough to get assigned a treat job, you just do it. There’s no room for ego here.

KNOW YOUR ROLE, PLAY YOUR ROLE

It doesn’t matter who you are, where you’re from or where you’re based, we take a high-performance mindset to everything we do. We’re strategic, creative, and agile. We deliver excellent, high-quality work by leaning on the skills across our whole team, playing to each other’s strengths. Nobody is going to be all things and we don’t expect that, but we do expect that we work together to execute in a typical ER way, on everything we touch. We get to know each other extremely well so that people are leveraging their skills in a way that benefits them, clients and the firm overall.

SIMPLY RELIABLE

We do what we say we are going to do. For each other, for clients. We make statements and commitments consciously because we know it will be done.

We are based on a tiny island at the bottom of the world, but we’ve always thought global from the very beginning. We have big goals and clear strategies on how to get there. We think about our existence in a global context, and we firmly believe we can do anything from right here in Tasmania.
